Blaze" host and NRA spokeswoman Dana Loesch said she was "incredibly shocked" to hear that New York congresswoman Kathleen Rice labeled her and the NRA a "national security threat."
"I am not a domestic threat," Loesch said. "I'm a mom. I go to Walmart and I take my kids to Chick-Fil-A."
Loesch was criticized by Rep. Kathleen Rice (D-N.Y.) and others on the left for her recent NRA ad.
Loesch told Mark Steyn that Rice, a former Nassau County District Attorney who sits on the Homeland Security Committee, was irresponsible to try to score political points with a serious issue like national security.
"As a [former] officer of the court, she should know better," Loesch said. "Perhaps she is thinking of running for higher office."
"MS-13 is killing black and Hispanic men, and yet she has harsher words for me. She has to resign."
Rice represents the Five Towns and western part of the South Shore of Long Island, only several miles away from where MS-13 has gotten a foothold in places like Brentwood and The Islips.
